Therapy is hard work. You’re going to explore so many dierent stories and emotions that you may not have realized were there, and it’s going to be scary and uncomfortable. But that’s where the growth happens. Growth doesn’t just happen when everything is 100% perfect in your life; it happens in the uncomfortable moments that really push us to make a change, big or small. As your therapist, I would like to help guide you through this sometimes scary, uncomfortable, yet incredibly rewarding and fulfilling process. Think of me as a lifeguard: you’re on the shore of the beach, wading tentatively into the deep sea of emotions and uncertainty, but I will be there with you, even when you are stuck. You are ultimately the one putting in the work and swimming, while I am there next to you in all of the messiness, guiding you and listening attentively with a nonjudgmental ear.
Something that I recently learned is that incongruent living is exhausting. When we are authentically ourselves and can live in ways that are aligned with our core values, we feel more light, joyful, present with those around us. I am dedicated to living out my life authentically with a no-frills, what-you-see-is-what-you-get attitude so that I can help you do the same! It is a gift and an honor to be able to hold space for someone to share their story about emotions, fears, and hopes. Being a therapist does not mean that I have everything figured out. What it does mean, however, is that I am committed to putting in my own personal work so that I can show up 100% present for you.
I am passionate about helping individuals become better versions of themselves as well as live intentional, fulfilling, and purposeful lives. It is such an honor and a privilege to be able to journey alongside those who trust me with their stories.
I got my undergraduate degree in psychology and minor in family and human development at Arizona State University. I am currently an intern therapist working towards my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary.
